WHAT THIS THERAPY SUPPORTS
This therapy supports people who are navigating:

-
Shame and self-blame
-
Complicated relationships with food, health, or body image
-
The emotional impact of weight stigma or medical harm
-
Feeling “stuck” despite insight or effort
-
Anxiety, overwhelm, or chronic stress
-
Burnout, caregiving fatigue, or emotional exhaustion
Who I work well with
This therapy may be a good fit if you:

-
Live in a fat body and have been harmed or dismissed by healthcare
-
Feel exhausted by constantly trying to “do everything right”
-
Want support that does not require weight loss to be taken seriously
-
Feel stuck in shame, self-monitoring, or all-or-nothing thinking
-
Struggle with emotional eating or binge–restrict cycles
-
Are a caregiver, parent, or over-functioner who rarely gets to rest
-
Experience anxiety that shows up as control, rumination, or hyper-responsibility
-
Are thoughtful and self-aware, but still feel blocked or overwhelmed
-
Want therapy that honors ambivalence rather than pushing quick fixes
-
Are looking for care that fits real life - not an idealized version of you
My approach
My work is grounded in weight-inclusive, fat-affirming, and trauma-informed care.
Weight is not used as a measure of health or success, and health is not treated as a moral obligation.
I draw from motivational interviewing, values-based and ACT-informed approaches, shame-informed cognitive work, and mindfulness-based practices - always with attention to nervous system safety and real-world context.
Important Boundary
I do not prescribe weight loss as a treatment goal.

If weight loss happens, we can talk about it.
If it doesn’t, the work is still meaningful.
